About SimpleProjects.AI

We build small, useful apps with AI as a collaborator, and we share what we learn along the way.

Why “simple”

Most of the software we use every day tries to do everything. We think there's room for tools that do one thing well: a wish list you can share in a minute, a game you can play while the coffee brews, a quiz that teaches you where the meeting rooms are. Simple doesn't mean shallow. It means the hard work happens so the person using the app doesn't have to think about it.

What we believe

  • Solve a real problem. Every project starts with something that annoyed us or someone we know.
  • Ship small, then improve. A working first version teaches more than a long plan does.
  • Use AI as a partner. AI coding assistants help us plan, write, test and deploy. People still decide what's worth building and whether it's good.
  • Build in the open. We write down how each app was made, including what didn't work.
  • Keep it cheap and boring underneath. Proven, low-cost infrastructure means apps keep running without constant care.

Our goals

  • Release a steady stream of small apps that people actually use.
  • Learn how far AI-assisted development can take a very small team, and share the results honestly.
  • Turn what we learn into reusable building blocks: templates, setups and write-ups others can start from.

How we build

Each project starts with a short written plan. We build it with an AI coding assistant, keep the code on GitHub, and host it on proven services such as AWS and Vercel. This site itself is a static site built with Astro and served from Amazon S3 and CloudFront.
